Procreate Social Campaigns


In my role at Procreate, I have had the privilege of being at the forefront of cultivating and nurturing Procreate's ever-growing online community, which has an impressive 2.2 million followers on Instagram alone.

Using my design and lettering skills, I played an integral role in designing and creating multiple social campaigns to bring our community together, and celebrate art & creativity. As the lead designer, I've collaborated closely with professional artists, art directed talented motion designers, and meticulously overseen the execution of these campaigns across our English, Chinese, and Japanese platforms.


Business Outcomes

As a general rule of thumb, Procreate rarely advertise through traditional channels. The majority of the business’ growth has been due to word of mouth, and creating brand awareness on social media. These campaigns contributed directly to this, where users were encouraged to create and use the dedicated hashtags. This organic reach helped establish us, not only as a successful app, but a hub for community that celebrates creativity.

When the world went into lockdown, we at Procreate decided to create a month-long drawing challenge, with 31 prompts to encourage users to draw everyday, and level up their skills with 2 free months of Skillshare. The project ran across all platforms, for both Western Countries on Instagram and Twitter, as well as our Chinese platforms.

This was the first social campaign I created at Procreate, and it was a joy to use my lettering skills. We received lots of love and appreciation from our global community, and it was very rewarding seeing some of the beautiful art that was created with #ProcreateCarePack.

Procreate Power Up


Procreate Power Up was another campaign created during the COVID pandemic, that helped parents and children during this difficult time with colouring in templates created by professional artists.

We created a fun, bright, retro games-inspired campaign to appeal to children and their parents to download and colour in the templates, and had some of our commissioned artists livestream their own colouring in on our platforms.

International Women’s Day

We celebrated International Women’s Day, with an all female takeover of our socials for a week. Each day of the week we showcased an individual female artist, with a snapshot of their work.

We created a fun, vibrant and celebratory ID, that appealed to our wide audience, and allowed for the artwork to be front and centre within the social campaign.

Procreate turned 10 years old in 2021! To celebrate we gave away some original brushes from version 1.0 to show just how far we’ve come. I created this ID to announce this milestone to our community, and sampled the brushes to encourage our audience to download them.
